Anciant skulpture – Snakes or Giraffes?
The famous Laokoon-group. The strong despair become stone. These giraffes (father with its two sons) with itself changed closely from the own necks struggle.
According to greek mythology the Trojan priest observed Laokoon, how the Greeks left a wooden horse at the beach. It warned its co-inhabitants before the threatening trap. The protection goddess of the Greeks therefore sent fast two sea-snakes so that the ruse could succeed nevertheless. The snakes tore Laokoon and its sons in the sea and erwürgen them. The Trojaner interpreted this as proof for a lie Laokoons. Then history took its run…
