Breakfast cartoon : woman in a bathrobe dreams
16 x 11 inch - Watercolor, Gua on paper
Cartoon by Martin Missfeldt - September 18, 2006
Betty, painted by Gerhard Richter ("Gerhard Judge"). Betty is a Gerhard Richter's daughter, born in 1968. The picture shows them in a dressing-gown which is decorated with red flower ornaments. Wonderful painting after a wonderful private photo. The giraffe's version of judge's masterpiece falls something of the frame. The flower pattern of the bathrobe continues on the neck. The originally concealed ones loses hair now fall down in the Hels.

Which saying would be able to do such a picture better unetrstreichen than the current, often misbrauchte wisdom: " A picture says more than thousand words "...
Missfeldt: " I had the big luck to get to know gerhard judge once personally and privately. I wanted to study at that time under him. For this purpose I tried to show him my picture briefcase what turned out exceptionally difficult. For days I tried to get an appointment. Without success. In the end, I investigated his private address. I found out where his studio was. And then I sit down in the morning at 6.00 o'clock before the door and waited...
Then against 8.30 he really appeared. A little bit irritated he asked what I wanted. And in spite of the undeclared disturbance he really took from himself the time to have a look at my works. Then he has recommended me to study under Baselitz. Then on the return journey I have driven up with castle castle Derne... But this is another history.
Gerhard Richter is without question one of the most impressive personalities which I might get to know up to now. He is incredibly friendly and polite. And if an incredible rest and gentleness emits. "
